Mountain Village to hold Housing Forum at Town Hall Tuesday, January 31

Categories:

The Town of Mountain Village Housing Authority invites the community to attend its Housing Forum to learn about the Town’s multi-faceted Community Housing Initiative. It will be held Tuesday, January 31 at 5:30 p.m. in Mountain Village Town Hall Council Chambers.

The Forum will focus on sharing the Town’s latest updates on the Village Court Apartments Phase IV expansion and the development of 29 for-sale units of affordable housing at Lot 644, as well as share the latest information on the Town’s plans for purchasing 55 acres in Ilium Valley for future affordable housing development. Representatives from Triumph West, the developers for VCA Phase IV and Lot 644 will also be in attendance.

There will be a Q&A format for participants to learn more about the Town’s deed-restricted housing programs, timelines for the upcoming lottery for Lot 644 and a chance to meet the Town’s Housing staff that administers its housing programs.

“We feel this is a perfect opportunity to make ourselves available to discuss the depth and breadth of housing initiatives in the Mountain Village,” said Assistant Town Manager Michelle Haynes. “Whether you have a question about the 644 lottery process, what’s happening at Village Court Apartments or questions about whether you may qualify for the town’s standard deed restriction, we are here to answer your questions and share information.”

The Housing Forum will run from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Due to the nature of the event, there will not be a virtual option. A recording of the presentation and Q&A will be available on the Town’s housing website after the event. Refreshments will be available. A quorum of Town Council members may be present, however, no formal action will be taken.
