Town of Mountain Village announces new town attorney
The Town of Mountain Village has hired Garfield & Hecht, P.C. as the town’s new legal representation, with Paul Wisor serving as town attorney.
Wisor, along with support from other attorneys at Garfield & Hecht will replace the services and roles previously filled by Jim Mahoney and J. David Reed, P.C.
Wisor’s role will include providing legal counsel to Town Council and staff; drafting, reviewing and approving all town contracts, ordinances, agreements and resolutions; attending all Town Council meetings; and providing litigation services as deemed necessary by Town Council.

Wisor’s law practice focuses on public finance, land use entitlement work, real estate development and he has advised a wide range of government entities such as municipalities, counties, school districts, special districts.

His resume includes serving as the attorney for the Towns of Avon and Fairplay and City of Fruita where he developed an impressive background in planning and zoning law, employment law, code enforcement, election law, liquor licensing regulations, Colorado Open Records Act, TABOR, economic development matters and much more related to the day-to-day activities of these municipalities.
