Winter 2024-2025 parking passes on sale; new hourly rates in Heritage Parking Garage  

The Town of Mountain Village’s winter 2024-2025 parking passes are now on sale. Additionally, new parking rates in Heritage Parking Garage and new tiered parking violation fees go into effect on November 28, 2024.

As of November 28, Heritage Parking Garage will be decreased to a flat $2 for the first two hours of parking, followed by $4 per hour Monday through Thursday and $8 per hour Friday through Sunday with a maximum of $40 for a 24-hour period.

Winter daytime parking rates in the Meadows and Gondola Parking Garage will be the same as last winter: $10 per day Monday through Thursday and $15 per day Friday through Sunday. Winter hourly parking rates in all other lots will go into effect November 28.

Parking pass rates have not changed from last winter, and residents of Mountain Village, employees who commute to work for a business with a physical presence in Mountain Village and locals who live in the Telluride R-1 School District and San Miguel County may now apply for parking permits online at bit.ly/TMVPermitParking.

Commuter/Employee pass:

  • $100, valid through April 15, 2025
  • Valid registration and proof of employment with a business that has a physical presence in Mountain Village required (paystub/letter from employer) must be submitted when applying for permit
  • Winter season daytime parking at Gondola Parking Garage and Meadows Lot as space allows
  • Transferrable among four vehicles to encourage carpooling (if applying for more than one vehicle, please be prepared to submit registration and proof of residency for all drivers)

Resident pass:

  • $100, valid January 1, 2025-December 31, 2025 (resident passes purchased in December 2023 will be valid through December 31, 2024)
  • Valid registration and proof of 12-plus month residency in Mountain Village (lease/title/etc) must be submitted when applying for permit
  • Exempt from winter season daytime parking fees at Gondola Parking Garage and Meadows Lot, as space allows
  • Exempt from daytime parking fees, as space allows in North Village Center (year-round)
  • Free 2-hour parking as space allows in the South Village Center lot (year-round)
  • Free unlimited parking along the rock wall in Market Plaza Lot after 3 p.m. as space allows (year-round)
  • Up to two additional non-transferable year-round permits valid for overnight parking at Meadows Lot only, $100 per year per Meadows residential address

Locals pass:

  • $200, valid through April 15, 2025
  • Valid registration and proof of residency in Telluride R-1 School District or San Miguel County (lease/bill etc) must be submitted when applying for permit
  • Winter season daytime parking at the Gondola Parking Garage and Meadows Lot as space allows
  • Transferrable among four vehicles to encourage carpooling (if applying for more than one vehicle, please be prepared to submit registration and proof of residency for all drivers)

Enforcement of winter daytime parking rates and passes will begin when the ski area opens on Thursday, November 28.

Beginning November 28, parking violation fees will be tiered with $30 for the first violation, $50 for the second violation and $75 for third and subsequent violations.
